Daniel Abdala and Jesse Alvarado, both freshmen at Mt. San Antonio College, finished first and third in the men's 4-mile race at the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Championships at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley. Abdala clocked 19:12.34 and Alvarado ran 19:43.23 for Mt. SAC, which finished second overall behind San Diego Mesa College by a 44-57 margin, as both teams advanced to the state meet Nov. 20 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
