San Antonio College had five scorers in the top 25 to triumph with 53 points at the California Community College Athletic Association Southern Regional championship meet at Kern County Soccer Park in Bakersfield. Hannah Brown covered the 5-kilometer layout in 18:06.79 to place second, Claudia Vera finished fifth in 18:27.17, Ingrid Tamayo placed 13th in 18:52.53, Natalyn Membrano achieved 19th in 19:20.81 and Cassandra Apahidean took 24th in 19:26.63 for the Mounties, who repeated as regional champions. Brenna Butler was 43rd in 20:05.15 for Mt. SAC, which advanced to the Nov. 19 state final at Woodward Park in Fresno looking to secure back-to-back women's team championships, also including Shandy Moore as a potential contributor.
