Mt. San Antonio College CA sophomore Rebecca Ruiz and freshman Sadie Encinas finished fourth and ninth, respectively, in the women's 5-kilometer race at the Southern California Cross Country Championships at Don Knabe Park in Cerritos, Calif.  Ruiz clocked 17:48.9 and Encinas finished at 18:15.1 as the Mounties, the defending state champions, finished in second with 110 points and advanced to the state finals Nov. 17 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif.
